My New Year’s Resolution |
|
|
Sure, many of us vow to get in shape at the start of the new year, but I’ve long since given up on that since my less than functional body seems to make such things impossible these days. My resolution includes fitness by accident though, so hey, no pressure, right?! When I finally get in my jalopy and make it back down to LA, I know what I’ll be doing! Hope to see you all there for the big REACH!!!!!!!

The REACH!! is, of course, Richard Simmon’s LP I co-wrote and co-produced in 1981. See windupkitty’s original submission of that LP without knowing I had anything to do with it: http://www.alleewillis.com/awmok/kitschenette/wp-admin/post.php?action=edit&post=8345 and http://www.alleewillis.com/awmok/kitschenette/wp-admin/post.php?action=edit&post=8875
Despite working with Richard for a solid year I never made such a New Year’s resolution.
well, he’s still teaching classes, so now’s the time! i was so glad to see that the nyt ran an article on him!!!! i couldn’t care less about the exercise, but i’d go for the kitschersize, for sure!
I met Richard Simmons when I worked at Fred Segal’s in LA. It was the worst experience ever. He was really nasty and I was hoping that was because he really wanted a cheeseburger or something so it affected his mood? I don’t know. So I abandoned all hopes of asking him to autograph my exercise lp.
Was the exercise LP “Reach”?
