Sealtest was the brand of choice in the Willis household in Detroit when I was growing up. I remember hacking into large chunks of vanilla ice milk when those Sealtest diet bricks first hit the Kroger’s shelves in the mid 60’s. I still have a fondness for this brand (though not so much for clowns). I do love these roly-poly clowns though, bloated and drunk from too much ice cream and big choc-o chunks.

Our house always had Sealtest Ice Cream, although the style clown on these boxes reminds me of a distant relative from Memphis.

hmmmm yeah, i’m pretty sure my eyes have looked like that after too much ice cream….lol! i love the graphics on the boxes, but yeah, clowns selling anything is a turn-off…remember “Scoopy the Clown” the ice cream cone clown? terrifying. the name “scoopy” is pretty genius though…..
