I LOVE THIS 50’S GARBAGE PAIL THAT WAS UNDER THE DECK AT MY HOUSE WHEN I WENT TO LOOK AT IT & WAS THE DECIDING “SIGN” FROM ABOVE (OR BELOW) TO MOVE IN…A BIT RUSTY BUT STILL FUNCTIONING. IT’S A BIT JAZZY FOR MY TASTES BUT IT’S SO COOL…AND IT SAYS “REACH FOR THE RHYTHM” ACROSS THE BOTTOM…MAYBE ENCOURAGING YOU TO DO A FREE FORM DANCE MOVE AS YA TOSS THAT WINE SOAKED DIXIE CUP…I ALSO LOVE THE BLUE HANDLE ON THE LEFT THERE…I GUESS IF IT WERE CLEAN & NEW IT COULDA BEEN THE BIGGEST CUPPA JOE ON EARTH, DADDY-O.

FANTASTIC!!. Despite the rust and otherwise battered condition this is still a staggering find.

I love the use of Go! Go! Go! and the way the clothes are drawn on the musicians.

I have a set of metal trays from the 40s with Black musicians on them that say “Reach for the rhythm” but the background is red and other than the phrase don’t seem related to this. With this said, almost anything vintage with a musician or the word ‘rhythm’ on it is something that would go right into my collection.

    BEAUTIFUL.
