Hear No Evil five-oh.

Jealous

A strange little window to a boutique in Kapa’a, Hawaii displays this as one ascends the stairs to a restaurant that serves banana-macademia nut pancakes where one can sit a floor up and watch the traffic pull through the main drag. It’s comforting that they’re being watched over by a couple of local dudes behind them.

I don’t know how monkeys came to inherit the ‚Äúsee no/say no/hear no evil” mantra but I like that these are three separate sculptures as they’re usually all carved together. I also like that they are in casual little human outfits. What I like even better are banana macadamia nut pancakes.

Do you know if these are carved out of wood, made out of cement or what?

  2. They looked like they were plaster cast, and they were about 8 inches tall.
And the pancakes had coconut syrup. Both truly beautiful things to behold.
