Poodles and barware come together… |

The 50′s, where poodles and barware came together. I found this box of 10 drinking glass wrap-arounds. It keeps the outside glass dry and absorbed the water droplets. It measures about 9 1/2 x 4″. Matching coasters would be nice. A must have. My big 25 cent purchase.

Gorgeous. Gorgeous! I don’t know how anyone would have ever used one of these and then actually thrown it away. Colors are fantastic, ultimate 50′s. Poodles are posed so wonderfully. That incredible staircase and red carpet kill me. I also always love how puffy these things are.
Actually, there were three more “used” ones in this box. You’re right, they couldn’t throw them away either. I could see using one with a colored anodized aluminum tumbler. Those always sweat.
That’s the perfect combo.
Every poodle is carrying booze! I love these.
Can anyone tell me what the connection is between poodles and alcohol?
I don’t think that there was any strict connection so much as poodles and home entertaining really came into their own and became the iconic in the 1950s, when these were made.
