Here are the two pumpkins my wife and I carved for Halloween this year. Looking at them on Election Day (the day I’m posting this), they suddenly seem ominous. I’m hoping the lower one isn’t reflective of how I’ll be feeling when the results are in. And I’m hoping the higher one isn’t reflective of how the evil, gloating Republicans may be looking at the end of the day. “Trick or Treat” has taken on a whole new meaning.

I love these pumpkins! What a brilliant way to carve them using the stem as the nose. You absolutely got the expressions down and I love that you didn’t have to carve massive slits all over to get such perfect faces.
I’m with you on “Trick or Treat” taking on a whole new meaning after yesterday’s results. God help us all. This is what calms me down about being as old as I am because I got to live in incredible decades in the United States.
