I’M PUTTIN’ ON MY TOP HAT…
This is a little pair of Chalk Heads..each 5″.. Both are decked out for the evening, he is wearing a Top Hat and sporting a Monocle, she is wearing a little hat with a big feather, while seriously batting those baby blues. I love both of their expressions. He is artist signed or named “Ora” .. and she is artist signed or named “Bessie”.. Maybe they are old Carnival Chalks, and the couple buying/winning them had their names added???…if anyone knows?? They have hooks for I think pot holders, I never hang anything, I’m always afraid I might pull them off the wall.

Whoa, gorgeous!!!
He looks like he could have been fashioned after Esky, who first appeared in Esquire in 1934.
They totally look like a pair with their little button noses so two different artists names don’t make sense. I’m voting that these were custom-made or at least custom signed for a couple named Ora and Bessie. Such 1930′s names.
Her hair is killing me. His expression is killing me. These are really a fantastic find.
