“Four Freshmen” a signed photo to Liz

This was part of the unforgetable mound of “trash” left by the curb the night before it would be gone forever. The family was clearing out the attic.  Everything was in pristine condition after nearly 50 years.  “Liz” was active… sending away for photos of “stars”, traveling to Hawaii as a single gal in the 50’s, and saved everything. More to come from this treasure hunt from a few years ago.

What an unbelievable stash to came upon! So this was in the same trash heap as the newspaper boy documents? https://www.alleewillis.com/awmok/kitschenette/2011/02/06/the-newspaper-boy-get-recognition/

Do you think Liz was married to the newspaper boy?

How many boxes of stuff did you walk away with?

I think it’s just incredible when people keep everything that was significant to them growing up. My dad threw so much of my stuff out. I’m sure it’s why am such a fanatic archivist today.

Although The Four Freshmen were a little straight for me they were massive when I first started liking music. I would’ve gotten their autograph too (although I would’ve been more interested in their sharkskin jackets).

Yes, David and Liz did get married. I actually didn’t scoop up boxes but systematically hand picked treasures that caught my eye. As I snap pictures, I’ll share them with you. Next comes David’s report cards from 4th grade thru high school.
