While visiting family in Arizona, I came across this bag o’ kitschy goodness in a local grocery store. Apparently, the cool kids wear broken sunglasses and plastic non-operating watches while licking a sub-par lollipop.

Excellent product! I can’t even believe that anyone making anything edible for kids would stick plastic toys in there, let alone ones that could break as easily as these glasses did so the kid could get an extra treat and choke on them. And that one ratty cheap sucker… Such a strange combo. And certainly not for the “Cool” kids.
I love that the company’s name is Energy Club. Though I’m not sure that it’s energy your body would be filled with after chomping down on sunglasses and a watch. If anything, they should’ve made them out of red licorice. I guess the lawsuits were ultimately cheaper.

Haha, I always admire these bags of cheap-o toys at the store. At my grocery store, they’re stashed in the “Hispanic Candy” section (a real section) and there are sometimes “Girl Cool Kids Mix” and “Boy Cool Kids Mix” as if the difference between girls and boys is a pair of cheap plastic glasses vs. a cardboard checker board.
