Little ceramic dog statue – made in Japan

I found this at a thrift shop here on the Cape and it cost me 50 cents.  I am also pinching pennies but will absolutely sacrifice my change in the name of kitsch.  This little dog stands 2 1/2 inches tall.

    So cute. Love the little puppy along for the ride. But most of all love the hastily applied lipstick. And the fact that they didn’t spring for painting the back. How much could that have added to the budget?
