Lotus Blossom Lamp

Don’t know much about this beautiful lotus blossom lamp. I found it in a thrift store many, many years ago. It is made of wood and stands 18 inches tall, and it almost looks like it was handmade by a craftsman (the carved flowers near the base are nailed together). When you twist the knob just under the blossom, the petals open to reveal the bulb. BTW, the blue bulb is from a novelty store (thought it fit the lamp perfectly).

Fantastic that the petals open when the light is turned on!!

Looks like it may come from Thailand or someplace like that.

I used to have tons of those bulbs. I saw them in NY for the first time in the late 90’s. I tried to smear silicone on some colored bulbs and make them myself once but it was just one big gooey mess and I had to throw all the bulbs out. That bulb was MADE for your lamp!!
