Soap and matchbooks from the Wigwam Village #4 in Orlando, Florida, which was built in 1948 and demolished in 1974.. a tragedy for kitsch fans everywhere.

Wow, I never had any idea there was a Wigwam there. Was it close to Disney World? I know the theme park wasn’t built until 1971 but how great would it have been to stay in a wigwam and then hit there?

I absolutely love old vintage motel and hotel soaps. I used to fanatically collect the soaps. We drove to Miami Beach from Detroit a couple times a year and the bathroom swag I used to pick up on those trips was astounding. I have absolutely no idea where all of my little soaps went but what I wouldn’t do for them now.

    Long live the remaining Wigwams!
