The tiki that greets you upon entering the tiki book hut.
Ugh, I still haven’t been able to go through this tiki book hut in any sort of detail so this shot will have to do. The titles in this hut are unbelievable!

I’ve been collecting books forever ( though have cut down in recent years as I have no more room for them and don’t want to start stacks on the floor again). One of the great joys of life was when I put up this storage shed, decorated in like a tiki hut, put shelves in and finally got all my books together in one place.
This is a haven for 40′s thru 70′s design and arts books.
The tiki is solid wood and was carved at Oceanic Arts, who did all the Trader Vic tikis, everything at all the Disney Worlds, etc.
I can’t wait to lock myself in this tiki hut.
WOWOWOWOWO!!!.. I Love the doorman/greeter!!! Does he have marbles scattered at his feet?? The examples of books that you did post are fabulous, I can only imagine how wonderful all the others are!!!..
The marbles cover a French drain. There are also a couple round powder blue steppingstones so you don’t slide on the marbles as you step up to go into the tiki Book Nook.
