I got this a few years back on Ebay for $1.25. I learned after I posted it in my blog that this guy was a big kiddie TV star in the 50′s, in Cinncinati as I remember. I love this cup!
This is one of those small items at Willis Wonderland that make me very jealous. I would be happy to drink out of this coffee cup.
I got the goods on this one. http://www.wafb.com/story/5525752/who-is-buckskin-bill
I grew up on watching Buckskin Bill during the afternoon after school in the 60s. Most memorable was Flash Gordon serialized. He was on Baton Rouge television as the above linked story will show. Bill did this show for a good number of years. I remember stumbling home from doing overnight shifts in the early-mid 80s to watch Buckskin and do the Monday Morning March at 7am. A true local icon.
Love this info. Thanks, Bill!
I had to come back and hit the jealous button.
