Seeing as I don’t have another appendage that this will fit, my nose has requested I find one of these ASAP!!

The little drip at the end is a nice “touch” too.

I could use one of those right now! I gotta figure out how to knit these for all of my friends. Maybe a pom-pom at the end instead of droopy snot.

  3. Douglas Wood Douglas Wood says:

That little reservoir at the end makes me think this is homemade condom that some sweet granny crocheted for her grandson so he wouldn’t get any STD’s.

what i like most is that it ties at the back and sisn’t atached to anything…ski masks make pretty good sense since they cover so much surface area, but this is obviously just for vanity, not warmth…oh, the things we commit to in the name of beauty…

VANITY??? I’m not sure I buy the vanity part……… I think this serves the people who live in extremely cold climates and don’t want to wreck their olifactory glands in freezing weather. i believe this invention is entirely practical.

    Allee, do you want one?

    • Allee Willis Allee Willis says:

So nice of you to ask! I would only use it for display. I think something on my nose like that would drive me a little nutty. So as much as I would die for a handcrafted nose hat I should not take up any of you time with this. Do you knit all sorts of things? If so, how long have you been knitting and what do you make? xx

I will make one for you and one for Snappy, Allee! Those are quickly done and I always love to contribute something to your collection :)
I´m crocheting and knitting since my childhood and literally everything. My grandma was great in doin´Nana-Crafts and gave it forward to me. I like to buy vintage knitting patterns and then knit after them with new funky yarns. Everything from hats, over sweaters to household stuff like pillows, eggwarmers, teapot-warmers, etc. In my shop I mainly sell crocheted aliens and hats I design myself.

Ok, you’re on! Snappy and I will take fantastic photos in them!

I don’t ever remember being into hats and scarves but got into them hard about a month ago after getting back from Monterey where it was really chilly. I only had a couple knitted caps and a couple scarves and wore them out there. I went a little out of control on eBay after that and now they are as much a part of my collection as anything else. I tried to knit when I was in high school. I made 2 sweaters, one of which I’m certain I still have in a trunk somewhere. It was green mohair and I thought it was the fanciest thing I ever saw. The other one was a cable knit tennis sweater with a maroon and Navy blue stripe on white. I didn’t have the patience or the precision to keep knitting and I’ve always admired people who did. You should post some of your favorite things here that you’ve made.

Great posting… I love the new modern yarns, and I hope more young people are discovering the craft again.

A co-worker says her brother had one of these, though his wasn’t as long! It was red with a pom-pom on the end. She says she used to have it but hasn’t seen it in a while. I told her to look for it so it can be submitted to AWMOK!
