I always loved this one. So much so that it hangs in my bedroom. It was my friend Tim Bagley who owns a copy of this (as does RuPaul and Lily Tomlin) that he loved it because one of the boxing gloves looks like the boxer’s heart. I can vouch that Bubbles was totally unconscious of this while she was painting it. (Tim,btw, was a semi-regular on Will and Grace. He played one of the gay couple with the baby W&G were friends with.)
In researching the work of Bubbles the artist, I have discovered I am now officially obsessed with Bubble’s interpretation of Paul Lynde and Flip Wilson.
Obsessed.
