Table Football with Knitted Jumpers |

Apologies for the quality of the picture, as i could not use the flash, but I just had to have a picture of this football table as I was amazed that they had hand knitted jumpers on. I have no Idea how old it was , it was the jumpers that transfixed me !

I’m giving this a Camembert award because someone took the time to keep these little guys warm. I wonder if one of them had a crushed chest or something and someone made a little sweater vest to cover him up and was so taken by the fashion bug that they had to continue knitting.
Those players look so old. I’m guessing sometime between 1910 and 1930 on this one.

With thanks for the Camembert Award , these were in a museum in an old cinema in the South of England , its a family collection, its full of treasures , I love going there ,it has a mock Victorian street scene of shops and the shops are full collectables . Its only small ,but you can also get tea and cake in an upstairs room, its has everything from vintage travel posters to the front end of a steam train! I have more pictures ..
