I found this incredible ashtray at a local thrift shop here in PA. Long gone are the shops in Massachusetts but there are plenty of fabulous shops I have been running across here in PA. Look at the fantastic swivelling acorn snuffer between the two squirrlies! This amazing piece cost me $2.00.

What exactly is an acorn snuffer? I’m acorn illiterate. Kills me that it swivels for easy dumping.

Woweeee Dens, this is fabulous!!!! Snuff was fine tobacco that was sniffed into the nose, so probably the acorn was meant to hold it, then tip it out onto the try so you could pinch it or snort it? Just a guess….

My heart skipped 10 beats when I found this. Of course you all know where this will end up “living”.
Wind-up, I meant snuff as in “put out the cig” but totally get what your saying. Here you put out your um, smokeable of choice, made for cigs really, and then swivel the acorn by moving it with your fingertip to dump out any ash that rests in the acorn. I knew what it was immediately but have never, ever come across another ashtray like it. I think this is one of those rare things that is so amazing it will make you break out into a sweat when realizing it only cost $2.00.
