I found this doll back on Cape Cod in a church thrift shop, cost?  $3.00.  Not bad, he’s been hanging around ever since I purchased him to keep reminding me to post him here.  IT’s taken me that long!  He’s in perfect condition and has no manufacture information anywhere on him.  His head seems like a combo of paper machet and ceramic, it just feels light and not very heavy.

Totally insanely cheap price for this marionette. Although I must say he’s the weirdest Charlie Chaplin I’ve ever seen -a combo Keane eyes, Hitler mustache and gigantic eyebrows and hands. Which, of course, makes him more valuable on the kitsch tip of Chaplin.

    Have you operated him yet?
