No! That top Blatz ad did NOT encourage mommy to guzzle beer so that baby would participate in its health benefits, did it???!

Lane Bryant was an institution and the first to cater exclusively to larger women. Though they are throwing around that term “Chubbies” rather liberally.

    HAVE A FAG????

I bet you they didn’t have much trouble selling the Cocaine Toothache Drops.

If only all cruises were as gay as American Export Lines.

And Yes! Let’s get baby to start drinking cola and other soft drinks as soon as they pop out of the womb! How completely stupid and gullible were we ???

I love using Christmas as an excuse to get a new gun. Guaranteed to blow whoever the recipient is away with your generosity.

Housewives work hard enough without adding pep pills to the mix.

Please don’t tell me they actually sold sanitize tapeworms so that people could have the fat munched out of them??!

I always cry for new appliances.

LOVE reading these!!! Yaknow, beer DOES help Mama’s with milk production, but it doesn’t need to contain alcohol to do so! My cousin sent out great pics of her nursing her newborn while chugging a near-beer. My Grandmother about passed out!

Meanwhile my father used to put a few drops of scotch in my baby bottle until my mother found out. She can be a kill joy. I’m sure I was pissed.

The last Ad is actually pretty funny! I dig it! BUt what can be better than sexist ads and ones that show us the road to proper health!? Crap thse puppets on the cruise line…i know them and i can’t for the life of me think of their names!!!! It’s on the tip of my tongue!!! :(

I know…who books a cruise to see a puppet show!?!?! Yeah, you learn things by raising babies…lots of things…of course I was never blessed with my own, but i sure did a lot of helping raise other peoples’ kids….if that doesn’t teach you to drink beer, nothing does…

They were from the TV show Kukla, Fran & Ollie! I used to love watching that. From WIKI:”

“Kukla, Fran and Ollie is an early American television show using puppets, originally created for children but soon watched by more adults than children. It did not have a script and was entirely ad-libbed. It first aired from 1947 to 1957.”

That may explain why they were on the cruise!
