I used to collect vintage masks like this as I did so much spray painting I was always in need of one. But the few vintage ones that I used made me feel like I was delirious as more crap from the disintegrating material they were made out of got into my system than I ever could have ingested had I sprayed paint directly into my mouth.

I love the warning, “clean air is vital to good health”. If whoever wrote this was only figuring that out when this mask was manufactured they were probably dead before it hit the shelves.

Flex-a-Lite Is the ultimate period name.

I want to know why the man and woman wearing the masks look like they’re wearing underpants over their nose and mouth?

Now that trace radioactive particles from Japan are showing up here in Arizona, we need these masks! As I wrote in FB yesterday…My partner and I don’t have a Geiger counter to check for radiation, so I’m using my 1970’s mood ring. If it turns blue or green, we are safe, but if it turns red, we are in touble!

“Protects agains non toxic dusts non toxic paint” too funny!

I loved down wind from Rocky Flats Plutonium plant in Colorado for 14 years. A few picocuries here, a few picocuries there, and pretty soon you’re talking about real fallout. It was always a conversation starter when our squirrel’s nuts glowed in the dark.
