“Ants in Your Pants” Inflatable Greetings

This is an inflatable birthday card which I’m guessing is from the late sixties or early seventies.  It comes with a large envelope with which to mail the blow-up greeting.  It measures 22″ in length and says, “Don’t get ANTS in your PANTS because another birthday’s here!” on the front…

…and, “Just bear in mind the MORE you have, the LONGER you’ll be here!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY!” on the back.

Not sure exactly what that means– the front warns you NOT to get ants in your pants, but the back tells you they’ll enable you to live longer.  The package instructs you to “Personalize… Sign with Ball Point Pen Before Mailing,” and also proudly attests that it’s “Pressure Tested.”

    I’m speechless with envy…

Talk about it not being the good old days anymore. To even live in an age when one could think of a product like this let alone manufacture it… Long live the 70s! Or was it 60s?
