These are all of comments I've made about all the beautiful Kitsch in the Kitschenette Wing of the AWMoK:

Autographed Doodles Weaver LP

  1. Bob Ramsdell says:

Allee, He was quite a cutup. He was the class clown at Stanford. He returned the next year and was complimented by his professorsn as being so dignified and easy to get along with after hat incorrigible Doodles!! He was in quite a few movies including Hitchcock's The Birds. He was the brother of Pat Weaver head of CBS and was Signourney Weaver's nephew.

  2. Bob Ramsdell says:

Doodles was in a large amount of films and TV. One of the last I saw

him in was Hitchcock's The Birds. He was CBS's Pat Weaver's brother

and Sigourney Weaver's uncle. When he went to Stanford he was a

supreme prankster and joker. After he graduated, he returned the next

year as his twin brother, wearing glasses and a suit to all classes,

was very quiet and studious. Professors were complimenting him about

being a much better student than his twin brother, Doodles was. He

played this "role" before he switched back, fooling everyone. I had

two other encounters with Jack Benny. Once on Okinawa sitting on the

tarmac at the airbase there during a heavy rain when he was

entertaining troops and once I actually bumped into him at Harrah's

Lake Tahoe and had a few words with him.

Kitman for President Souvenir Program

  1. Bob Ramsdell says:

I think this illustration looks scarier since that new movie "Abraham Lincoln - Vampire Killer" came out.

1940 San Francisco International Exposition Guide Book

  1. Bob Ramsdell says:

I have blog, "Bob Ramsdell into the 21st Century" which has items about San Francisco in the 30's and 40's I forgot to mention about being there during the U.N. meeting in 1945. I have 5 locations with links to them. I could send them separately to you or to your email address,

Other items are true stories (like the time General Omar Bradley asked me how I felt the Korean War was coming along with the Joint Chiefs standing in my small supply on a Sunday afternoon during the Korean War on Okinawa. A made up story was about Secret Agent 009. Another was a parody of Waiting for Godot which I called Waiting for Bobot (my name)

  2. Bob Ramsdell says:

I wish I had a way to show the guide map to the Fair but it is 16"x19". It shows where every exhibit was. The island was dominated by the Tower of the Sun. On the side toward San Francisco, I was able to watch the China Clipper Seaplane take off for it's maiden voyage to Hong Kong. My sister who was in UC's 1939 graduating class, was dating a clipper pilot at the time. Gregory Peck was in her graduating class and she saw hin a few theatrical performances. Rereading the guide book brings back memories of when a little country boy was exposed to the outside world.

The Wackiest Glasses I Have Ever Seen

  1. Bob Ramsdell says:

Nessa, Link to my photo site is:

    http://www.photosig.com/go/photos/view?id=2316715&forward=viewportfolio

  2. Bob Ramsdell says:

On a photo site I am a member of, I have a self portrait with a pair of glasses I made by taking a pair of cheap glasses and attaching two CD's with crazy glue. The holes are arranged so I can see out of them. In the picture, I am also wearing a baseball cap sideways to ad to the ridiculessness of the concept. I may try to copy the picture from the site (photoSIG)
