I had a tiny, wild pet mouse living in our garage one summer. He would come out from behind some boxes when I would call him and I would give him a piece of a cracker. Then he would fall asleep curled on my foot! He was so cute! Then my partner found out about him and freaked out (saying mice are very destructive and have babies). So he set a live trap (with some peanut butter) and took him to a field where he could live free. I was very sad to see him go. I just hope he wasn’t eaten by an owl.

yeah…I woulda had to fight about that one too……I had a pet rat when I was a kid…her name was Sniffy (creative, I know) and she was the best little creature I’ve ever known…I’m tearing up just thinking about her right now! What an intelligent, kind, gentle and noble little rat she was…

I think that’s some sort of hamster or gerbil? he’s so cute I can’t stand it…looks kinda chubby for a mouse, but then any mouse in my house would probably be chubby too :D

I tried to rescue a mouse from the mouth of a farm cat once. I got it out, the cat seemed decent about the whole affair.

    The mouse didn’t.

    It bit me.

Thankfully I didn’t tell anybody, I would’ve been totally terrified to have those rabies shots.
