The rain hat illustration kills me.  I always love vintage cootie bugs. Vanna White always got on my nerves with that fake smile and big teeth.  I love clowns and this drink cup is astounding…..I might need these ear muffs when moving to PA and last but not least, who doesn’t love a spam magnet!

Too much in this one post for me to elaborate on so brief descriptions only:

The top photo is an actual inflatable plastic rain hat. I’ve owned about 10 of these over the years and they look unbelievably incredible on, like wearing an inflatable pyramid. From the 1950s. Authentic.

The 2nd photo is the fully assembled cootie from easily one of the most popular games of the 1930s, 40s and 50s, Cootie.

3rd photo, is of course, Vanna White, A fantastic cheese star.

4th photo is an ice cream drink cup with googly eyes. You put a straw through his hat.

5th photo is actually earmuffs. I got them from a catalog within the last couple years. Cute but not fantastic.

Last photo is of a canned ham with pineapple slice and sprig of parsley refrigerator magnet.

The first time I stumbled on one of these hats was in the early 80s and they were flooding thrift shops and flea markets. Someone must’ve manufactured them and then they didn’t sell. I had about 10 of them over the years. They look amazing when inflated and on.
