I am not familiar with the 5th Dimension.  My Uncle used to listen to them and I remember hearing their name and that’s about it.

Never heard of Cliff Nobles.

I know this group!

I was too embarrassed to tell Allee I never heard of this song or band.  It’s the only cover version Allee ever did when she performed her Childstar album in the 70’s.

Denny– If you’ve never heard the first 5th Dimension song above, then that means you’re not familiar with Laura Nyro who wrote it and also recorded it– is that possible?! She was just admitted into the Rock n’ Roll hall of fame– definitely one of the most original artists of all time and very influential. I’m sure Allee can get you up to speed– she worked on ads for Nyro’s records in the 70’s in NY.

Listening to the 5th Dimension now. Oh geez, I know them but only know them for the hits like “Acquarius/Let The Sunshione In”, Up Up And Away. I only had the am dial back in the day and didn’t really get to buy, collect and discover music til I was much, much older. I am still catching up! :)

Correct me if i’m wrong here Allee, i believe that Cliff Nobles record is on the Phil-LA of SOUL label. I’ve seen that label before, scanned whatever rekkid it was and turned that into a heat transfer iron on decal to iron onto a t-shirt, for a friend of mine. Sometimes the label art can be more interesting than the songs therein contained.
