I found this ad for the Reynolds Aluminum do-it-yourselfers in a book I got in an old book at a library book sale. I assumed it was old since the zip code for Louisville, Kentucky was “1”. I also liked the cartoon figure that was cutting out the last “u” from aluminum with snips.

I love that it attributes the Reynolds contribution to the Great American Do-It-Yourself movement. And that it encourages people to make different sizes and shapes out of aluminum. Who knew that there was a whole line of do-it-yourself aluminum? With that said, I’ve made so many things out of Reynolds aluminum foil it’s crazy.
