    Maybe in that town they have an event or group called a “SARD.” What could a SARD be? A sale of lard (my first thought)? Maybe it’s the local Society for All Round Development? Or the Genesee Street Chapter for Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development? You may be on to something with the pot brownie idea if it’s Sudden Acquired Retinal Degeneration. There’s a middle english word sarde. So maybe it’s “A clear or translucent, deep orange-red to brownish-red variety of chalcedony.” Which might make sense if we knew what the heck a chalcedony is. This could take a while, there are 472,000 more google results for SARD…SARD!
