Lobster Trap Buoys

Jealous

This was taken here at home as I have these buoys lining the side of our garage. These are usually attached to Lobster traps so we can identify which ones to pull when retrieving our lobster traps from the bay. We haven’t dropped lobster traps for around 2 years now. We weren’t having any luck. It is also a Cape Cod tradition to hang these on or around ones property. I suppose i should throw in a fake lobster here huh?

These things are beautiful. I have some hanging in the palm trees in my backyard.

Without question you should enhance your buoys with a fake lobster or two.

Really nice composition against the textured shingle. I like the contrast of the old worn boeys and the bright strip orange ones. Be sure to set traps this year and show us what you caught.

We didn’t have good luck the last time we had the traps down. We caught a few but some were not of legal size to pull. Amazing the blue crabs that come up in those crates, of course when I pull them I hate anything crawling on me and these crabs would fall into my lap, a very comical site for sure!
