This is a small paper back book made by a cartoonist, Bernie Karlin showing the good side and bad side of New York City. For example, one side shows a big parade and on the other side, a street sweeper cleaning up afterward. The book is autographed by the cartoonist.

    My sentiments exactly! I love New York for many things but I hate it for so many others. I’m definitely a West Coast gal. But I’ll always have affection for the city I lived in when I graduated college for 7 years and then had to spend so many back-and-forth years in while I wrote The Color Purple. I never miss it when I’m gone but always enjoy it when I’m there.
