I know it’s nowhere near the holiday season but I had to share this outstanding piece of art I saw at an antique shop recently.  A crab shell, painted gold, bejeweled with beads and sequins… lined with velvet and rick-rack and made into a nativity scene.  Who wouldn’t want this on their tree?  I was pretty amazed by it.

UNBELIEVABLE in a crab shell!!! I wish we knew who THAT the artist was.

Needless to say, I love the composition such as this!

  2. That’s pretty great. Venus came out of a clam and Jesus, from a crab. I feel like I’m learning so much.
