This was a fantastic gift from a friend here on the Cape who knows me very well and what I like to collect. This heavy, metal ashtray was “made in Israel” and that is all the information I have on this piece. It measures 6 inches long (magic number as of lately) and is in amazing condition.
Here it sits until I put it with my turquoise Gorham plate. The cheesy beer stein is a vintage Cape Cod souvenir. Then of course there is the Shirley Temple water pitcher.

I know these kinds of Israeli artifacts. They’re always very heavy and exceptionally well made. This one has a beautiful shape. And no secret that after hating it for decades, orange is my way favorite color.
