I love the idea that something that is usually made of soft leather and is worn for comfort is rendered in CERAMIC. And notice the little toe hole in the front. Just in case someone might wear it….

That toe hole is for the smoke to come out when a cigarette is deposited in the shoe. I love that it’s somewhere between a slip on and a clog. Looks like the person applying the ceramic glaze got a little tipsy on the third black stroke from the bottom. Imagine how many shoes he/she had to paint every day.
