This sweater is at once spectacular AND Nauseating! That very combination is oftentimes the makings of a MASSIVE KITSCH ALERT.

I don’t even know where to start but I certainly think the tie worn by the clown with the turquoise and purple yarmulke deserves a significant shout out. it looks like a knee sock. I also love that all the eyes look like torahs. Or Grecian columns, window treatments or balconies.

Are the clowns appliqués or are they they knit right into the sweater?

Do you know when this was made? By the different color sleeves, body, cuffs and collar it looks like one of those mid-80s postmodern messes (but gorgeous by K. standards).

The clowns Faces and parts are made out of felt and hand sewed on the sweater along with misc old sweater parts. Feels and smells very 80s to me. Hair spray and LQ Foundation mmmmm The good ole days.
