Vintage Shoe Store Shoe Measurer

Submitted by snappyp December 6th, 2009

I thought these were the coolest way to measure your feet ever. What fond memories I have of getting my stride rite shoes using this tool to measure my ever growing kid foot. I nearly fainted when I purchased this. It was so ingenuous…. and still works today.

I was obsessed with these as a kid. It made it very exciting to for me to go and get a new pair of marshmallow or patent leather T-straps, penny loafers or white or gray suede lace-ups. Still one of the most beautiful gadgets ever made.

A while ago I was watching Jimmy Fallon and he gave away one of these to everyone in the audience. How I wanted to be in that audience.

These are amazing. To think, a foot measurer can bring back so many memories! It reminds me of the Mall in King Of Prussia in PA. The Buster Brown shoe store had a mini door to go thru, of course the mini door was for us kiddies! We were fascinated by these things!
