Toasted Corn Flake Earrings

Submitted by MyFunCloset January 25th, 2010

I guess Kellogg’s Toasted Corn Flakes clip-on earrings were a “must have” decades ago, when a wife sent her hubby off to work as she made him Kellogg’s Corn Flakes for breakfast. When and where else would she wear them? Remember this is about 1960.

So many of these are repro so it’s great to see an original pair from the ’60s. Kellogg’s Cornflakes always were and still remain one of my favorites, though Sugar Frosted Fakes, which I always justified eating because they were in essence cornflakes, were my absolute favorites.

My mother-in-law was big on sending away for premiums. I doubt if she ever wore these “gems”. Flash forward to 2000, she would have been a big buyer on eBay for sure.
