This sat in my room when I was a kid. This is from the 60’s and again, one of the things Mom saved. It’s stands 9 inches tall. This was made in Japan.

He’s very cute and he’s been with you since the 60’s so I’m going to be very kind to him despite the fact that this kind of finish on ceramic glaze always was a little creepy to me. It had that kind of burnished feel to it and I like my ceramics and nice and bright.
He’s very much a timepiece of his decade and his hair looks like an artichoke. Cute toes too.
