Another great coconut head as it’s so completely unique as coconut heads go. Way more brilliant use of the coconut hair than most and very human expressions on the faces. https://www.alleewillis.com/awmok/kitschenette/2010/05/30/fidel-castro-as-a-coconut-head/

I can kind of see where you get Pete Townsend but he’s looking like someone political to me, maybe a little Yasser Arafat but can’t quite place him. Anyway, a very fitting mate to Fidel. I’m assuming you found them both together. Were those the only two there or did you pass on some?

    Thanks…Yassar??..really???…he’s much cuter in person…smile
It’s fun that we can see a resemblance to a real person in a coconut head carving. I’ve always wondered if maybe they had the same artist?? If there’s not already, we need a book on Coconut Head Art/Artists
We got them miles apart, Fidel we bought up north in Michigan, and Pete we bought at the 26th Street Flea Market in NY…

I wish people signed these things. They are definitely two very sensitively carved coconut heads, quite different than the norm.

I myself used to do lots of damage at that 26th St. flea.
