aFounded in 1918, and expanded to include wooden booths, tile floor, and 60 foot art deco sign. This place, still owned by the same family, has the best hot dogs in Worcester, Massachussetts.

The expansion to the restaurant was in 1938. The art deco interior looks like it stopped in time.

Now this is my kind of place! There’s no question that if I passed this place driving in a cab from the airport I’d run up a big meter as I made a pit stop here.

I don’t even have to ask if the hot dogs are great.

This may be the first hot dog neon I’ve seen with a big hand squeezing the mustard out of the dog which, I assume, lights up drop by drop.

I’m also completely in love with the false front put on the top third of the front of the restaurant.

Is this where you live? How often do you eat here?

They brough a little bit of Broolyn’s Coney Island to Worchester. Love the neon zip! Now that’s great!

This is about 2 hours away from Cape Cod (where I live), and we haven’t been to Worcester in years. It is near where my husband grew up. He used to go there when he was a kid. After an estrangement from his Mother, we have been back in town due to a “health issue” with her. We hadn’t been to eat here in about 4 years! We are going again this Thursday.
