Cellos aren’t exactly the most whimsical of musical instruments, but stick a grinning pixie character next to one, and voila– it becomes cute. And it’s no ordinary cello– there’s an opening at the top of the right side in which to place toothpicks.

I’m not a pixie collector but for sure I would have snapped this up. Not just because it’s musical, an aspect of this that’s fantastic, but because of how completely scrunched together this little pixie is – his legs, his facial expression, everything. I also love how he holds his bow. All this gives him loads of personality, like he’s really happy to hear the sound of that cello as well as to be of service in providing instant toothpick relief.
