Elvis Recipe Pot Holders

I bought these at the Graceland Gift Shop. One pot holder is Elvis and some BBQ Ribs, with the recipe for Special BBQ Sauce. The other one is the recipe for Peanut Butter & Banana Sandwiches, with an unappetizing batch of sandwiches, and Elvis looking like a zombie hot mess. I have not made these recipes.

So fantastic! Elvis’ favorite recipes on potholders is just about as good as it gets. This is definitely what I would’ve bought from the Graceland gift shop. I started eating peanut butter and banana sandwiches because of Elvis. It’s insane that it would take a recipe to make a sandwich so simple but I would surely follow the instruction closely if I owned that pot holder.

Nice! The fried peanut butter and banana sandwich-

Allee, have you tried the same concept but just not fried?
I still love a good peanut butter and banana sandwich.

There is a great Southern deliberation if the addition of just a little bit of mayo (Duke’s mayo if not handmade) is necessary to help cut the stickiness of the peanut butter. I’m on the no mayo team, personally.

Might I also share my AL grandfather’s favorite dessert? Take an “ice cream on a stick” (vanilla ice cream on a stick dipped in chocolate) and smear it with a knife-full of peanut butter. Enjoy.

Yes, have tried them plain and fried. I’m a fan of both. Have never added mayo. That seems blasphemous. You grandfather had the right idea.

Mayo on an Elvis sandwich sounds wrong.

I have added bacon though, for a different (but still delicious!) taste.

These potholders are fabulous! Would love to know what Elvis’ Special BBQ sauce recipe is.
