Here are a few postcards from my collection as promised. The one of Esther Williams and Tony Martin is one of my favorites, on the back it says they are making love. It doesn’t look like love making to me, but maybe they are just getting started.
All of these are astounding. Postcards from Florida are the absolute best, especially from the 1950’s. It was a state built around recreational activities so the postcards are always amazingly colorful and spirited.
My favorite is the very first one. Normally I don’t go for bathing beauty stuff but that’s a hat that she has wrapped around her.
An excellent array of early 60s bathing suits on the second card. I wonder how they chose which girl got to be the mermaid?
The Esther Williams and Tony Martin card is beautiful.
I love that the Colorful Macaws gal looks like she’s wearing a fringed shawl with all those long tailed birds.
Would love to see more of your postcard collection!
