Yes, keep Portland weird! That’s a great sign. Do you know what the business is of the building that fence is for? Or is at an apartment building?

I was only in Portland once. It was 1995 and I had a meeting at Intel there as they were funding a prototype of the social network I designed (though, in fact, they were funding me doing a prototype of technology they’d already invested in which, had I known, I never would’ve signed that deal). Anyway, there were a ton of artists in Portland which was great but otherwise I found the city very ‘white’ and not nearly weird enough.

A HA HA!! All of Oregon is incredibly white. So white that they drive slow and enjoy bland food. At least the white kids in Portland are attempting weirdness. More power to them!

The entire side of a building is painted black with that sign on it. I was walking over to VooDoo when I saw it, across the street from the doughnut store.

It has to be a business on SW 3rd, but I don’t know what it was!
