Hello Gorgeous! Who wouldn’t want to travel in style using this vintage suitcase featuring a fantastic collage of the one and only Barbra Streisand? And if you get bored while on the road, this suitcase is filled with vintage magazines featuring even more photos of Barbra. BTW, I’m submitting this post on April 24th, Barbra’s 69th birthday.

    Happy birthday yesterday, Barbra!

Michael, did you make this suitcase? I know how much you love Ms. Streisand. A little too much Barbra for me but the ultimate case for the ultimate fan.

Yes, Allee, I spent many hours cutting out photos, then pasting and coating them onto the sides of this vintage suitcase. I don’t know what is is about Barbra, but I have been fascinated by her look ever since I was a little boy. My original idea was to sell the suitcase to another fan, but I’ve never been able to part with it and right now it sits displayed in my toy/ fun / music room to be admired by guests. Some guests think it is a beautiful work of art while others have said it is Barbra overkill. I myself have no perspective. Like I said, I am fascinated by her….And you have no idea how excited I was when I learned that you once did publicity work for her early in your own career….before you became a name in your own right.

Yes, I wrote the radio commercials and print ads for her “Stoney End” LP. I was the go-to Laura Nyro gal when I worked for Columbia/Epic Records from 69-74. I’m sure I did more Streisand but can’t remember which.

I was also at the “Enough Is Enough” vocal session with Barbra and Donna Summers, who I was friends with. One of my (still) best friends and collaborators, Bruce Roberts, co-wrote that as well as ‘The Main Event”.
