One Response to “Denny’s Adventures in Allee Willis’ “Willis Wonderland” (Part 130 – August 2010)”

  1. Allee Willis

The statue in the first photo is made out of solid wood. He’s very heavy and over 4 feet tall.

The Mike Tyson figure in the second photo is made out of rubber and plastic and is meant to dangle from a rearview mirror. All his parts move.

The Louis Armstrong figure in the third photo is about a foot and a half tall and is a replica of a much larger figure I have that was actually owned by Louis Armstrong. He used statues of him and his band out in the lobby of theaters when he was doing a show.

I can’t remember the name of the guy in the fourth photo but he’s not a preacher. He was the coach of a famous sports team though I can’t remember which one of those either. The Black Is Beautiful bumper sticker in back of him is a 1960s original as is the Right On! one in back of him.

The Mohammed Ali shoe polish was made in 1991. A little too new for my tastes but wonderful nonetheless.
