When I first looked at this I thought it was kitschy but a little conservative. But then I really started taking it in and noticing the insane design and now I’m completely crazy about it.

First of all, there’s the cutouts on the table so that the chairs complete the corners. That’s brilliant. Second, the shape of the table itself. Third, the shape of the chairs themselves. Then, that perfect 60’s color combo of brown and aqua. And then the combination of velvet and what looks like woodgrain Formica. And let’s not forget the hand written sales note.

What kind of store was this in? If a thrift shop, the $1500 price is insane. But if in an actual shop, which it may be judging from that sideboard behind the table and chairs in the second photo, then I guess it’s reasonable. Though I’m strictly a thrift shop price gal.

I can’t remember for sure but I think it was in an antique store with lots of furniture but also small memorabilia like jewelry, cologne bottles, mirrors, etc. We went to a couple that day. The corners are what really caught my eye, then the way the legs are positioned on the chairs. It is soooo cute! If we had room in our house, I would have taken out a loan to bring it home!
