We have a shop here that is always offering little season-related items and as our town is just celebrating the “Wiesn”, like the famous Oktoberfest in Munich, just smaller and more traditional (I like it way more like the big thing) this store is full of Bavarian Kitsch at the moment. A friend called me in the morning that she spottet a food timer with a Bambi on it and that she thinks that´s totally up my kitsch-alley. Hubby went shopping in the afternoon and I told him to bring three of them. One for Denny (I owe him one for the most awesome fridge magnet ever!), one for Allee and one for me :)

Needless to say, I’m very excited to be receiving my Bavarian Wiesn. After years of being a horrible cook who was too lazy to use a timer and therefore overcooked almost everything, I’ve finally gotten into the habit of using the timer on my iPhone. Life has changed! So I’m most excited for Bambi to be sitting on my stove assisting me in my culinary ambitions. Hopefully I won’t melt him 1st time out.
