Sylvania Color Remote

Another fantasy in faux woodgrain, this old Sylvania color remote dates from the mid-1960’s if I did my research right.  So far, it’s the only Sylvania I have in the collection.

I’m a little confused by the rocker switches… how the heck do I change the channel?

Totally right, how would you change the channel? You’d have to have 2 remotes, which would be a complete pain in the butt. I never was a fan of that faux wood grain, trying to make it look like the interior of a Rolls-Royce. But I certainly appreciated in retrospect as it is so of the period. More, more, more!

Maybe the first hit takes you to the frequency, and the next hits on that frequency just run through the channels with signals.

To me, the top of it looks like the chrome grill of a car with the sylvania logo as the badge.

There doesn’t seem to be a “Faux Wood Week” or “Faux Wood Day” on the internet, maybe we should celebrate one here.

    Always enjoy your remotes Troy!
