Karl and I came across these while wandering around Mayrhofen last month, the shop was closed ,and these carving were left outside, sadly to large to bring back in the hand luggage…

Completely amazing. Such an incredible thing to do with trees that no longer have their plumes. I never understand how people can just leave hacked trees standing and do nothing with it.

Allee, Mayrhofen is in the Tyrol area of Austria, very beautiful. Wow Bettina I bet that looks fabulous, maybe you could get a picture next time ??

Unfortunately it isn´t here anymore. After my grandma passed my brother knocked down the old barn where my Grandma had it outside. But as far I know he gave it to the neighbour. I´ll check the next time!
