This was a all vintage typewriter booth at the NY Pier Show!! So beautiful, every size, every color… I kept thinking it would be a perfect collection for “writers”.. I’m just sayin’….smile

I would have been in ecstasy in this room. I absolutely love vintage typewriters, especially 50s and 60s like these.
I still have my little red Royal portable typewriter I bought at Hudsons at Northland in Detroit with my allowance money in 1963.
Were these for sale? What was an average price they were going for if so?

Thanks, would love to see the Royal!!
The dealer who had the booth refurbishes and restores typewriters. I think they started at about $125.00 and went up from there. It was a very fun/clever booth, the people selling were in vintage clothing, and on some of the typewriters anyone could sit down and type a letter!!

Love it! I had a beautiful 1960s orange typewriter, but I loaned it to a theatre for a play and they never returned it :( How I mourn the loss!
